HMCG is providing a wide variety of planning and design phase engineering, subsurface utility and surveying services directly for the project architect in support of the overall project. To date we have provided public utility coordination, utility record research and supplemental designation, topographic & utility surveys of the site and adjacent street with supporting aerial based UAV (drone) orthophotography to support public infrastructure and on-site private designs.
HMCG has developed a method that combines the subsurface utility designation, existing, drone-based imagery and on-the-ground surveying information to provide a comprehensive interactive snapshot of the existing site improvements, including utility infrastructure. This foundational information served the planning, design and construction phases of the overall project. The information that we provide is presented in AutoCAD Civil3D format for ready use by the client and members of the project design team. Subsequently, we have prepared construction plans for private building permit grading, drainage, paving, domestic water, fire protection and sanitary sewer designs. A separate plan set is currently being prepared for public improvements in the adjacent right-of-way to extend a public water line across the site frontage to satisfy requirements of a Development Agreement to provide public water service to the site, that currently operates on well water.
